Sentence Connector এবং  Linkers/Linking Words কি এই বিষয় ?

Linkers/Linking words : Linkers/Linking words সাধারনত একই sentence এর মধ্যে word,Phrase, clause এর মধ্যে সম্পর্ক স্থাপন করে ।

Example :   1. Since rose is beautiful, I like it.

                    2. He is poor but honest.

Sentence Connector : Sentence Connector মূলত পূর্বের Sentence এর সাথে পরের Sentence এর মধ্যে সম্পর্ক স্থাপন করে ।

Example :   1. Rose is beautiful. That’s why, I like it.

2. He is poor. But he is honest.

 এক কথায়  Connector বসে sentence এর শুরুতে বা Full stop এর পরে আর Linkers/Linking words বসে একই sentence এর মধ্যে বিশেষত শুরুতে ও মাঝে ।

NB : অনেক Linkers/Linking words রয়েছে যারা Connector হতে পারে ।

                                    গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কিছু  Sentence Connectors

Example :

Bangladesh is mainly an agricultural country. (a)--------,   her economy and prosperity depends on agriculture. (b)---------,   our agriculture depends on the mercy on nature. (c)-------,     if there is sufficient rain, people can plough their land and sow seeds in time. (d)--------,    the can reap a good harvest. (e)--------,   does not rain in time, the farmers cannot grow the crops easily and they don’t have good harvest. (f) -------- ,   without water our agriculture is lifeless. The rain is not always beneficial to our agriculture. (g) -------,    sometimes it rains much that it causes flood. (h)-------,   our cops go under water and most often they are totally destroyed. (i)---------- ,    farmers who constitute the most part of our professional people loss everything. (j) --------, we can safely conclude that our economy depends on rain.

আমরা যদি লক্ষ্য করি তাহলে দেখতে  পাই যে উপরের অধিকাংশ শূন্য স্থানই  Sentence এর শুরুতে ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে । তাহলে আমরা এখানে  প্রথমে Connector ব্যবহার করার চেষ্টা করবো আর connector ব্যবহার করে তার পর আমরা দেখবো Linkers/Linking words ।

Example Connectors :
